Japan’s Gen Hirashima Masterclass

The event will be held at Urban Climb Blackburn (VIC), and will be led by internationally head setter Gen Hirashima — a key figure in the evolution of modern route setting in Japan and a long-time contributor to the IFSC circuit.

While in Melbourne to oversee the national team’s activities, Hirashima has extended his stay to offer a two-day masterclass workshop on 9–10 June.

In Gen’s words: “The theme is Less is More — how setters are creating a climbing life for our climbers through our boulders.”
