We’re thrilled to announce the appointment of Rebecca Hamilton as the first Chief Executive Officer of Sport Climbing Australia.
Beck brings a wealth of experience in leading national sporting organisations, most recently as CEO of Judo Australia, and has held senior roles across rugby, marketing, and communications. She is a confident and strategic leader with a strong understanding of the high-performance and participation landscapes, robust ties to AIS and AOC, and a deep commitment to growing sport from grassroots through to elite levels.
As CEO, Beck will lead the delivery of SCA’s strategic vision, drive organisational growth, and ensure operational excellence as we continue to build toward Brisbane 2032 and beyond.
Please join us in giving Beck a warm welcome to the climbing community!
A message from our Chair, Phil Goebel:
On behalf of the Sport Climbing Australia board and the broader SCA community I want to welcome Beck Hamilton as our first CEO. Beck's appointment represents SCA moving to our next chapter of growth and maturity as an organisation. Beck brings with her an incredible amount of skills and experience to build on the growth momentum SCA has and take us to the next level of building a vibrant and connected climbing community. I am so excited about this next period of growth for SCA and am looking forward to working with Beck and with all SCA stakeholders together as we strive for excellence.
A message from our new CEO, Beck Hamilton:
The SCA Board and Member organisations of Sport Climbing in Australia have been brilliant in their execution during a time of rapid growth in Australia. Sport Climbing on the Olympic and Paralympic stage whilst still in its infancy in Australia is poised for success. Coupled with almost 100 climbing gyms nationally, community participation is headed north at great speed. It is a pleasure to be involved and I thank everyone for the warm welcome.
